Windsor man charged after reported indecent act in front of children

Windsor, ON – Windsor police have charged a 65-year-old man in connection with an alleged indecent act that occurred in the presence of young children earlier this month.

Police say the incident took place shortly before 8 p.m. on August 7, 2025, in the 400 block of Giles Boulevard East. According to investigators, a man stopped his vehicle in front of a residence, exited the vehicle, and allegedly exposed his genitals before committing an indecent act in view of children.

Officers obtained a licence plate number and a photograph of the suspect. Later that evening, at approximately 11 p.m., John K. Ryan attended Windsor Police headquarters and surrendered to officers.

Ryan has been charged with one count of exposing genitals to a person under 16 years of age for a sexual purpose. The charge has not been proven in court, and he is presumed innocent unless and until found guilty by a court of law.
